Humans of the Liberties

On Monday, 24th July, Liberties Training Centre officially opened their exhibition, “Humans of the Liberties” at the launch of the Liberties Festival 2023.

This is an on-going project of the Digital Media, Art & Design course in the Liberties Training Centre. The trainees interviewed a number of community leaders and asked them three questions:

  • Tell us about yourself & your work.
  • What does The Liberties community mean to you?
  • What advice do you have for a young person?

On the night, we had speeches by Celine Kennedy, chair of Robert Emmett CDP; Leanne Young, manager Liberties Training Centre, Jonathan Carley, instructor at Liberties Training Centre, Rory Guinness and Kelley Bermingham, 2 of the humans interviewed in the project and finally a wonderful speech by Leah Mulligan a trainee in the centre.

We had delicious canapes prepared by the training centre’s catering class, supported by their instructor Barry Martin.
